PHASE-2 Vaccination starts from Today in India

India to start the second phase of COVID-19 vaccine drive from today across the country.This drive will include 10 crore people across the country. India has already completed vaccination of 1.5 crore people for COVID19 vaccine.

Training will be provided to all the health workers and other staff who will be involved in the vaccination and other standard procedures in the centers for the next two days.

Eligibility

People who are above 60 and those within the age of 45-59 years what with specified comorbities.The government has released the list of 20 comorbidities that would be covered under comorbidities.

1.Heart Failure with hospital admission in past one year.

2.Post cardiac transplant/Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD)

3.Significant Left ventricular systolic dysfunction

4.Moderate or Severe Valvular Heart Disease

5.Conginetal heart disease with severe PAH or Idiopathic PAH                                       

6.Coronary Artery Disease with past CABG/PTCA/MI and HYPERTENSION/Diabetes

7.Angina and Hypertension

8.CT/MRI documented stroke and Hypertension /Diabetes on treatment 10.

9.Pulmonary artery hypertension and Hypertension

10.Kidney /liver /Hematopoietic stem cell transplant

11.Kidney Disease at End stage on Haemodialysis/CAPD

12.Prolonged use of oral corticosteroids / immunosuppressant medications

13.Decompensated cirrhosis

14.Severe respiratory disease with hospitalisations

15.Lymphoma /Leukemia/Myeloma

16.Diagnosis of any solid cancer on or after July 1,2020 or currently under treatment of any cancer.

17.Sickle Cell Disease/Bone marrow failure/Aplastic Anemia/Thalassemia major

18.Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases/HIV infection

19.Diabetes with complications and Hypertension treatment

20.Persons those who have disabilities due to Intellectual disabilities/Disabilities that includes deaf and blindness.

Registration

People have to register themselves on Co-WIN 2.0 PORTAL that will open at 9 am today. www.cowin.gov.in

COST of Vaccine

The cost of vaccine in private hospitals is 250/per dose and in government hospitals vaccine will be free of cost.

Documents for Vaccination

The copy of ID Proof will be required for those who are above 60 years of age and medical certificate of those comes under comorbidities.
