949 new COVID cases logged in India in last 24 hours

On Friday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported that India had documented 949 new COVID cases in the previous 24 hours.

The case positivity rate on a daily basis is 0.26 percent, and on a weekly basis, it is 0.25 percent. In the country, there are 11,191 active cases, accounting for 0.03 percent of all cases.

In the previous 24 hours, 810 COVID patients have recovered from the virus. With this, the total number of people who have recovered since the outbreak began has risen to 4,25,07,038.

The country’s recovery rate is currently at 98.76 percent.

During this time, 3,67,213 COVID samples were examined, according to the Ministry. So far, 83.11 crore tests have been performed in the country.

In terms of immunisation, 6,66,660 doses of COVID vaccine were given out in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of vaccine doses given out under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive to 186.30 crores.
