India administers over 74 crore vaccines; for a second consecutive day, daily cases are less than 30,000

A 74,38 Crore (74,38,37,643) marked total vaccine doses was received in India in the previous 24 hours with 53,38,945 doses of vaccine. The age group was aged 18-44 years, followed by people from 45-59 years. Of the total doses administered over the last 24 hours, a maximum of over 34 crore doses was administered.

Over 72,70 crore doses were given by the States and the UTs by central and direct procurement. Unused doses of Crore with States and UTs are still available after total vaccine administration, while more than eight lakh doses are currently pipeline available.

A total of 3,24,47,032 patients have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic out of which 37,687 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. India’s recovery rate now stands at 97.54 percent.

The number of new cases declined variably with 27,254 new cases in the last 24 hours. This addition takes the active caseload to 3,74,269 which constitutes 1.13 percent of the total positive cases reported in the country.

A total of 12,08,247 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours taking the total number of tests conducted so far to over 54.30 Cr.

The daily positivity rate stands at 2.26 percent while the weekly positivity rate has slightly increased to 2.11 percent.
