India’s covid mark reached below 1000

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with 913 new COVID-19 cases reported in India in the preceding 24 hours, the number of daily new infections fell below 1000 on Monday for the first time in 715 days.

Furthermore, after a 714-day pause, the number of active cases fell below 13,000 for the first time. The country’s COVID-19 death toll presently stands at 5,213,358 after 13 deaths were reported in the preceding 24 hours.

The active caseload, according to the government, is 12,597, accounting for 0.03 percent of all positive cases in the country. The positivity rate for the day is 0.29 percent.

There were fewer than 13,000 active cases after 714 days.

Meanwhile, the ministry said that 1,316 patients had recovered from their illnesses in the preceding 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 4,24,95,089 people.

According to the government, 79.10 crore COVID tests have been performed across the country thus far, with 3,14,823 conducted in the preceding 24 hours.

As part of the nationwide immunisation programme, 184.70 crore vaccine doses have been distributed thus far.
