The National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test, Undergraduate or NEET UG Counselling 2021 is expected to commence shortly after the schedule is posted. The Medical Counselling Committee, MCC, has issued an advice in which it warns students against fraudulent agents and seat allotment. More information is accessible on the official website, mcc.nic.in.

NEET UG Counselling 2021 schedule is being looked forward to by many students who secured merit in NEET Result 2021. The official notice on advisory, dated November 17, 2021 advises candidates to perform the formalities of admission process on their own on the official website, rather than hiring agents for the purpose.

Candidates have also been informed that MCC does not host any other website apart from the one mentioned above. Hence, they must beware of any other fake websites that might be circulating false information.

NEET UG Counselling 2021: Key highlights of the Advisory

1. MCC has said that the seat allotment is done purely on merit basis and choices filled by candidates through the official website.
2. It further informs that no allotment of seats is done on nomination basis.
3. The notice here reads, “MCC does not allot seats on nomination basis. It is further reiterated that no letters are issued by MCC of DGHS to successful students. Candidates who have been allotted seats by MCC have to download Provisional Allotment Letters from MCC website and report at allotted colleges for admission. Hence, candidates are advised to beware of any letters issued by scrupulous persons on behalf of MCC regarding allotment of seats.”
4. Candidates are also advised to not share their Password and Registration Number with anyone as it can hamper the counselling process.

The Supreme Court rejected granting any ruling in favour of the petitioner students on Monday, dismissing a petition seeking a deferral of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance test (NEET) UG 2021. According to the Supreme Court, the examination will go place on September 12 as planned.

The Court refused to intervene in the exam date because it would cause “pain and strain” to the 1.6 million NEET applicants.

Several students appearing for NEET have been demanding the deferment of the exam for some time now and they even started trending hashtags such as #delayNEETUG and #postponeneetUG2021tilloctober etc.

The students pointed out on Twitter how the exam was clashing with several other examination dates such as CBSE private and improvement and ICAR.

Responding to this, Dr Kaushal Verma, Professor of Dermatology from AIIMS, told Medically Speaking that, “NEET has been administering the test for quite some time, and we’ve been telling and asking of other significant institutions that we’ll be taking exams on this day, and that you must schedule your tests around ours. We need to schedule the dates such that they are convenient for everyone and that we have enough time to study for the exam.”

“When the date was determined, I feel a clear decision should have been made. The candidates are informed that they will have thus much time in three months, and that exams will be held for which they must prepare. This is how AIIMS conducted exams, collaborating with other exam-conducting agencies. We had a set system in place where tests were held on a specific day, regardless of the day or holiday,” he added.

“My advise is to get a good night’s sleep and watch something entertaining because there are just a few days left and not much can be managed in that time. Whatever you’ve learned so far will be extremely beneficial to you, and you must have complete confidence in it. Relax, spend your time calmly, and maintain a stress-free mind,” Dr Verma recommended the aspirants to mitigate their anxiety in the days prior to the exam.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has an important update for candidates who are to appear for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) Exam 2021 scheduled for September 12. The NTA has put out a notice on the official website of the agency i.e. nta ac.in, which reads, “National Testing Agency is conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2021 at different centres located in 202 cities throughout the country and abroad on 12 September 2021 (Sunday) from 02:00 to 05:00 p.m. in Pen and Paper mode.”

“Numerous queries were received regarding the issue in pasting the Postcard size Photograph on the second page of Admit Card. This issue has been resolved now. So, the Candidates who have already downloaded the Admit Card are advised to download the Admit Card for NEET (UG)-2021 again from NTA NEET (UG) website,” the notice further reads.
