After beaten up by the patient’s family Doctors have gone on strike

New Delhi- The scuffle took place with four duty doctors over a parking issue. The doctors got head injuries, the wrist got fractured and another doctor faced some minor injuries. After the incident condemning a violent attack on doctors of Hedegwar Arogya Sansthan in Karkardooma went on a flash strike. The incident took place when the relatives of the patient bought him to the hospital’s emergency ward, the duty guard in the hospital asked them to remove their car parked in front of the emergency ward gate, after which argument started and when doctors tried to stop fight and control the situation they were badly beaten up by the mob.

The Resident Doctor’s Association of Lady Hardinge Medical College and Associated Hospitals has strongly opposed the assault and written a letter to the Resident Doctors of Dr.Hedgewar Arogya Sansathan for their support by demanding FIR against the culprits.

A Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) delegation had reached to the Hospital to extend their support. The act of violence against doctors was strongly criticized by various Doctors’ Associations who stood in unity in solidarity with the victims and demanded action against the accused.

“FordaIndia strongly condemns the assault on Resident doctors’ of Hedgewar Arogya hospital, Karkardooma. We demand strict action against the culprits at the earliest,” said Dr. Partha Bora , President, FORDA
