Out of the 1,090 newly appointed medical officers,
- 561 doctors were recruited under the Health Department.
- 529 ayurvedic medical officers were appointed under the AYUSH Department.
Additionally, CM Saini announced that the recruitment of 777 more regular medical officers is in progress, further reinforcing the state’s medical workforce.
Expanding Medical Education and Healthcare Facilities
CM Saini highlighted the government’s major expansion in medical education over the past decade:
- MBBS seats have increased from 700 in 2014 to 2,185.
- Postgraduate medical seats have risen from 289 to 1,006.
- Nine new medical colleges have been established, bringing the total count to 15.
- The goal is to establish a medical college in every district of Haryana.

- 22 district civil hospitals

- 107 urban primary health centers (UPHCs)
- 2,734 sub-health centers
Additionally, the state is setting up nine specialist Maternal and Child Health (MCH) wings in key districts such as Panchkula, Panipat, Faridabad, Sonipat, Palwal, Sirsa, Kaithal, Mahendragarh, and at the medical college in Nuh.
Mapping Healthcare Facilities for Better Planning
The Haryana government has conducted GIS mapping of existing healthcare facilities to identify gaps and strategically develop new infrastructure. Based on the findings, the government has approved:
- 218 new sub-health centers
- 82 new primary health centers (PHCs)
- 25 new community health centers (CHCs)

New Healthcare Schemes for Critical Illness Patients

- Free dialysis services for kidney patients have been provided since October 17, 2024.
