3,688 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours, in India

On Saturday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported a small increase in coronavirus cases, with 3,688 new COVID-19 infections recorded in the previous 24 hours.

On Friday, the nation recorded 3,377 COVID-19 instances. According to the Health Ministry, the number of active cases in the country has risen to 18,684, accounting for 0.04 percent of all cases.

In the previous 24 hours, 2,755 COVID patients recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries since the pandemic’s inception to 4,253,377. The rate of recovery is 98.74%.

With 4,96,640 COVID-19 tests done in the previous 24 hours, the total number of tests conducted has grown to 83.74 crore.

The government recorded 50 COVID-related deaths in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,23,803.

Today (Saturday), the daily case positive rate increased from 0.71 percent to 0.74 percent. The weekly optimism rate rose from 0.63 percent to 0.66 percent today (Saturday).

In terms of immunisation, 22,58,059 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were delivered over this time period. With this, the total number of vaccines provided as part of the countrywide immunisation campaign has risen to 1,88,89,90,935.
