India has 2,483 new COVID-19 cases, while daily positive rate falls

In the last 24 hours, India registered 2,483 new COVID-19 cases, a slight decrease from the previous day’s 2541 instances.

According to a Ministry of Health and Family Welfare bulletin issued on Tuesday, the active caseload has also decreased from 16,522 to 15,636, while the positive rate has dropped to 0.55 percent. In the previous 24 hours, 1,970 COVID patients recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries since the pandemic’s inception to 4,25,23,311. The rate of recovery is 98.75%.

With a total of 4,49,197 COVID-19 tests done in the previous 24 hours, the total number of tests has grown to 83.54 crore.

The government has recorded 1,399 COVID-related deaths in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 52,3622.

According to the report, 1347 people died in Assam, including 19 COVID-19 patients who died for other reasons.
