Over 100,000 people in Saudi Arabia have registered for the coronavirus vaccination on the opening day of vaccination, the Saudi Health Ministry said
“Up until now, 100,546 people have signed up through the application on…smartphones to receive the coronavirus vaccine,” the ministry said in a statement.
The vaccine will be given first to those who are above 65 years or those who have chronic diseases. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has approved last week the registration and use of a vaccine produced by US drug makers Pfizer & with its German partner BioNTech. The U.K and U.S have already started the vaccination.
