Coronavirus updates: India’s health ministry recorded 45,083 new coronavirus infections on Sunday, owing to an increase in cases in Kerala.

Covid-19 cases were estimated to be at 32.7 million nationwide, with 437,830 deaths. According to Reuters, the state government of Kerala reported 31,265 new infections late on Saturday, accounting for roughly 70% of the country’s total new daily cases. From next week, Kerala will be under a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. to prevent the spread of infections.

People in Maharashtra should celebrate festivals at home as a “slight increase” in Covid-19 cases in the past few days is worrying, said a state minister.
