NEET MDS 2022, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, has been postponed by four to six weeks. On February 17, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated that the NEET MDS 2022 test date will be extended. In addition, this year’s internship completion deadline has been changed from March 31st to July 31st.

NEET MDS 2022 was scheduled to take place on March 6, however due to the postponement, new dates will be revealed on the official website soon.

News agency ANI has reported the NEET MDS 2022 postponement news and wrote: “Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has extended the date of NEET-MDS 2022 by 4-6 weeks and the date of completion of compulsory rotating internship for eligibility for admission to MDS courses fixed at 31st July instead of 31st March this year.”

Students on social media were demanding to postpone  NEET MDS 2022 exam which was scheduled to be conducted on March 6, 2022. Demand to postpone NEET MDS 2022 has been escalated after the health ministry decided to potpone NEET PG 2022 exam by 6 to 8 weeks on February 4, 2022. Following this, NEET MDS 2022 aspirants got irked as the authorities didn’t consider their issues.

The Ministry of Health has also increased the period of the NEET 2022 MDS internship by two months, allowing applicants to finish their internship by July 31, rather than March 31, 2022. Internship is one of the basic qualifying requirements that applicants must meet in order to be eligible to take the NEET MDS 2022 examination.

NEET MDS 2022 registration closed on January 24, 2022, and the test was scheduled for March 6, 2022, leaving students barely two months to prepare, which was one of the grounds for their request for an exam postponement.
