92 employees of MCI staff asked to vacate Building

The Union Health Ministry has shown exit door to 92 permanent employees of the erstwhile medical education regulator, MCI and have asked to vacate its premises with immediate effect. The circular issued by Union Health Ministry names of Senior officials like senior secretary, deputy secretary, house-keeping staffs and 14 peons.

“Since the National Medical Commission ACT, 2019 have come into effect, including section 60(3) which specifically provides for vacation of office by the officers and employees of Medical Council of India on its dissolution,” a circular issued by Amit Biswas, Under Secretary, Health Ministry

The Ministry’s October 5 circular also says “National Medical Commission has come into existence and their smooth functioning is essential it’s advised to vacate the offices with immediate effect. However, as directed by the Hon’ble High Court, your services will continue subject to any further directions by the High Court.”
